I think this might be a widescreen issue, but I also think that if it always hapened with widescreen i'd hear more about it. I'm running CF at 1680x1050... but I didn't change the Freelancer.ini file because that causes CF to crash. Maybe that has something to do with the start up vids? Shouldn't be the card, the grid used to work fine before I set up widescreen. I also reinstalled CF before setting it up. I got widescreen working in the freelancer.ini now too. I guess CF just needed to update first. Grid is still messed up. My problem is that my backround is scalled 1 unit too much on all sides. I've attached a picture. *SPOILERS* Pic has basic contents of the Vega system.

Changing the FOV seems to be doing the trick, but that causes my menus to dig into the top of the screen so that's out of the question. There's got to be some file for the nav map specifically, even if I have to squish all of the letters and numbers closer to the middle. Actually, the dev's should be able to set up a widescreen mode in 1.8 if they size all of the map textures.
