  • So time has come to change my more as 4 years old Radeon HD5700 for something more recent My home PC looks next: MB ASUS M4A77T/USB3 (can handle only one GK)CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945Ram: DIMM DDR3 Kingston 4GB (kit 2x2GB)and my power-source is 500W - Seasonic Energy Knight SS-500ET, T3 500WMonitor ( ... actual one is very old "crap" ... (even worse as my PC :))) ) ... but will want buy later something able display FullHD)Money available: around 160 Eur this said I search for some tips which GPU…
  • (Quote from SilverFox) ... overlooked this detail ... sad, but better as to buy it and been disappointed. Available moneys not covers new MB. Atm I have no idea which one I should get then (especially if I want keep other hardware .. no chance build a new PC)
  • Goggled little around and info found tells that PCIe x16 version 2.0 is more as enough for todays graphics ... confused a bit atm. I then maybe will continue with chosen card. Problem with my actual graphic is, that also CF hits it limits hard in some moments especially when used sweetfx. @(IOC)Wanderer .. thx, some real performance results are always welcome
  • It would definitely be the best solution to build new PC from scratch ... alas this is not a option for me in next few years. Therefore I search for optimal way how to raise my actual PC performance which will need to serve me for some longer time. Not mentioning a fact that I want buy some new monitor later this year.
  • @SilverFox .. thx! .. seeing these graphs it looks like this new graphics can give visible results for gaming
  • Thx all for inputs Atm I started think if will be not better start 1st with MB (Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H) and processor (Intel Core i5-4460) and continue with further upgrades later.
  • Majority is going for gaming ... and yes, have interests for ED (but this definitely need something better as I have atm)
