just ... how much it shows cpu usage for freelacer.exe in processes list? (and how much cores have your cpu?) -
Freelancer is still one core app, in some moments (usually after swapping chars few times) my cpu usage went above that one core capacity causing suddenly "slideshow". I had 4 cores pentium and cpu usage went above 25% (normal was 5-6% usage) ... So there can be also antivirus software (Single-player) involved (remembering that one I had earlier was able do the same under certain settings .. something about active scan). In multiplayer could be server anticheat involved.
