Actually, i watched a video that explained how when you board and capture ships, instead of looting and scuttling them, you can sell them as is and earn big bucks of they have decent equipment mounted. Resale value of equipment is 25% of the full value, so if a turret costs 2,354,521 credits, thats over half a million credits! The problem is you don't gain xp, just ships.
