I agree with Denne. Most of the states involved in this crisis should take care of their own problems before they take care of other countries problems.I also agree that Russia, EU and the USA should have stayed out in this conflict. I really don't know what the USA has to do here again. I can understand that there is Russia as well as the EU involved due to geographical neighbours. The Ukraine is an own state and its people should decide what to do and what they want. The problem i see is the …

Welcome to the Cold War II or (in my humble opinion the still ongoing cold war I). Russia is the opposing power related to US. Ukraine was belonging to the former USSR and so now Russia claims its right there. US has nothing to loose there and they really at a certain point should stay out of a conflict. It cannot end good if they let drag themselves again into a conflict. Some politician here in the EU say Ukraine belongs to the EU - which is surely not true. It never belonged to the EU and it…

A president should not have the final saying to limit the rights of the opposing parties, limit the rights of the constitution or anything else. That topics have to be discussed openly and decided from the parliament. That is not happening in Russia, nor in Syria nor or very limited in Ukraine too (and many other countries). Democracy just works if the people of a society have their weights in decisions - either directly or indirectly. I can somehow understand the Russia actions however i conde…

LOL no they send it there just cause they can. They already have enough people there to watch and drones in the sky and satellites in space... They dont need a cruiser in the black sea. Its not even their territory or do they want to protect their freedom now in Ukraine? About German votes: Even those who do not elect, do elect namely for the opposite and surely not what the ones would not elect. People are just sick not to use a given right. A lot of countries on this planet and a lot of peopl…

Who cares who this country did belong long ago? If we would argue this way we could say we all would be one country, wouldn't we (Gondwana?). Its also not important how Ukraine got its independence from Ruissa - there were contracts and it does not require just one to sign a contract. Its absolute irrelevant. The thing here is surely was it against international law or not? Most if not all (except Russia) are saying yes. It is breaking the international law, eventual even human rights (not sure…

History is taking over now. I know its hard to claim (especially by the UN or EU or USA) to abide the international law, if in history these communities did break them too. But hey, just because someone got shot makes it not legal to kill the murder too. At least not for my understanding of human rights. That also applies to international law. You simply cannot defend the actions of Russia by stating the others also made mistakes. Thats not how it works. As stated already - there is the UNO (wh…

Avoiding elections, occupy local authority buildings - all with weapon powers is also not the finest solution of the pro-russian groups. Why is just the US mentioned? I believe Ukraine government has more supporters than just the US - where is prove of that the US is involved into this? What i find also a bit strange is that google finds no news about this. Shouldnt it be in the medias? Mostly i agree with OP. It seems people first need to kill each other before they start to understand that so…

The Maidan was not an election in the first place. This was a revolution against its the government and president Viktor Yanukovych. I agree that an involvement from foreign countries in this revolution shouldn't have taken place. That has been a mistake. The revolution was against the constitution of the Ukraine but accepted from western nations - not from Russia. If it was against the constitution then western nations should not have accept it too. There are a humble of mistakes from both part…

Thought about the same - Bild very trustworthy media... I have to admit that its really hard to believe what is published so far. Fact is someone has taken down MH17, it is very unbelievable to me that Ukraine itself shot it down. I believe that it was either the rebels or some of the Russian military. For me its hard to believe Ukraine has shot it down? Why? It never has shot down another jet before. Whereas in opposite the rebels have shoot down some Ukraine air vehicles. I also would not bel…

Why does the international community has to solve the problems of Ukraine? The international community lacks a lot, they even cannot agree on sanctions in Syria. As long as the laws as they are and some do have a right of veto - and the majority has no weight then nothing can be done by the international community. I admit its always a bad idea if the own government shoots at its own people. But the rebels dont want to talk. They treat with crime too. What about the people who wanted to elect th…

(Quote from Gunny) i 2nd that. Although they did not wanted to join the EU. We wanted to agree on some kind of partnership with economical background, kind of trade deals - like TTIP I think the western nations had an interest in the national resources Ukraine has to offer; gas, oil, coal - something along this, where most of the trouble spots in the world are based upon. Putin is also not dumb and knowns about this too Nevermind, only talking solves this dispute. Weapons will just kill the peo…
