  • (Quote from Night-Hunter)Could be a nice idea. Last time I used a gunboat, I mostly used it as a really big fighter. Gunboats already have increased strafe and reverse speed, this could be another step in that direction. Now, I have made a couple of proposals towards this topic in another thread. I'm going to reiterate them here so you won't have to search for them.(Quote from Ajay)(Quote from Ajay)
  • What about ~2K on secondary and 3-5K on the forward gun for cruisers?Being able to outrange alien cruisers would make them usable in Inner Core. I think their forward guns can't do much to them because their shield regens all the damage it causes.
  • Did you consider that most battleship guns have multiple barrels?E.g. an Adv. Battleship Defense Turret has more nominal damage than Kusarian, but Kusarian turrets actually deal twice the nominal damage per shot because it's double barreled (and as such, outdamages the Coalition battleship turret). Therefore the range advantage of the Coalition turret is negligible compared to that. Before you ask. Yes, I did test it soon after deploying a battleship in Inner Core for the first time.
  • (Quote from SWAT_OP-R8R)Exactly.
  • (Quote from SWAT_OP-R8R)Welp, this one hurt.To clarify: my normal strategy of using battleships in Inner Core relied on running away the moment the fighters show up. This just made it significantly harder. And it is also significantly harder to reposition away from under enemy capship fire as well.I'll make more runs to be sure (I only made a quick run to test if it's still possible after this change). But so far using my strat in IC got slightly harder (but still possible, so it's good). I'm no…
  • Um. Aren't Coalition Torpedoes pretty much the same as Battleship Torpedoes? The only difference is that Coalition Torpedoes max ammo is capped at 4.
  • (Quote from Martind Forlon)I think about 1.7-1.8K now.
  • (Quote from Night-Hunter)Might be something related to the size of the targets we tested the guns on.
