You will have to reinstall Freelancer to run it without Crossfire

Installing another version of Freelancer in the same folder will break the original version. Dont waste your time creating another Win user, you should fully uninstall Freelancer and then install it from the beginning. Trust me, I tried to get rid of Crossfire by FLMM and reinstall Freelancer, but the Crossfire launcher stays, so the only solution is to fully uninstall Freelancer. Keep the Multiplayer ID to save the characters you use.
