Please help me. I am not sure if it is a hardware or a software issue. I connect to the net using a USB connection. I tried using ethernet but it did not work The CF Launcher does not load properly for me. It mostly gives me E1 or E4 error. My browsing speed on forums has hit rock bottom and many times it just does not move forward anymore. I can talk to people on messangers. IE has stopped working and one site only worked after a lot of hassle.

Now I can get online but I crash out. It says Lost Connection. Could this be caused due to heavy traffic ? I did Full Antivirus, Adware Scan. I do not surf porn. I did not do defrag. Do I need to do it ? I stopped it as some of my games would stop working after Defrag. Yes previously everything was fine. I also called my ISP and did a line test and my speed increased drastically after the call. I could and can download at good speeds via torrent and P2P programs only my Freelancer game crashes …

My game does not crash out to windows but crashes out to Global Server List where it says Lost Connection if I try to reconnect. I have to come out and relaunch Freelancer. I will wait for a few days for holiday season to be over. I will try and update Ethernet drivers. The guys from my ISP had done that so I am quiet in the dark here.

I was able to suddenly move for sometime before I was hit by red lag again. I do not know but this seems like an ISP problem. I have a P2P program which warns me about Lost Connection and sometimes I hear it say "Lost Connection" but when I come and see the connection is ok. I think the connection is sometimes blipping. It used to work before. I have always used USB from the time I bought online service. btw I just was checking some of my other games to free up disk space. There is an error removing program called Bug Doctor and normally there is an animation of a bug moving which you see larger when he passes from under the Magnifying Glass. I remove dust from my computer whenever it shows any problems. btw what is general service of a PC ? I have Norton Systemworks 2003 and some other software too which I run to check for Viruses and problems. I also have a program called Bug Doctor. I think the system is virus free though I could be wrong. OK. I said I could not see the bug but forgot to write that I can see a white square box instead where the bug used to be. I hope this helps in solving my problems.

I also reinstalled DirectX using the DirectXWebServer application. It however told me there was some error as newer files were replaced by old files. There were some 3 entries but I could not read them as I had already clicked Finish which restarts the system. Guys some help please. I have DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904). Is this the latest for Win 98 ?

I SENT ADD REQUEST TO GWZRD. btw I also disconnected and reconnected the display wire and it seems to have improved my display slightly. I still have a feeling I might be having a software issue but I could be wrong. btw if I want to uninstall the video driver completely I guess that even Safe Mode would not work anymore. If I do uninstall it then how do I reinstall it I know I look like an idiot but I do not want to do stuff and say that, "Shit, now what do I do".
