i know this topic is basically over and resolved but i would like to add one small point. i travel through NY all the time but for one reason. i see a lot of new players flying all over NY and i try to find them (not for RP) but to ask them if they need help or if they are having any issues. I find that when we (experienced or high level players) seek out new players, it makes them feel more a part of our community. I go out of my way to travel through NY for this sole purpose.
