naaah. i still have a problem. because why the tax should be paid, if victim escapes from system? this is not logical and gives too much rights to pirate. in this case i, as merc, want similar rights: bounty-head in a system, i enter system and tell victim, i want his bounty (without seeing him) and if he leaves system i get the bounty not logical? RIGHT!

@ Huor: i didnt want to have any changes for merces, calm down i just asked "why the tax should be paid, if victim escapes from system?". but Forlond told me, i was wrong.@ Forlond: thank u but am i really misinterpreting Huors sentence: "If a player leaves the system the tax or fine will be paid."... still puzzled

some questions to this pirate-tax-stuff: when i see a pirate on my radar (in this case he can see me too on his radar), i must expect, that he writes now the "/tax player amount" command. this needs some seconds (depending on players name ). 1. when i fly away and disappear from his scanner range (in this time he is still writing), will this tax-command then be valid? 2. and what about when i use my cloaking device in this moment i see him on radar and disappear from his radar (but still in scan…

thx for the answers another question u write, the command is either "/tax" or "/tax player amount". in case the pirate uses just "/tax": does that mean, that all players in scanner range are taxed? even if there is a group of 5 players? just imagine: there is a mass-pvp like TDM with 10 players or more and one "funny" pirate writes "/tax"

no NucNuc, Huor wrote there are 2 commands: "/tax" or "/tax player amount". the 2nd command is very specific and there will be no doubt. but the "/tax" command "is faster and will be used commonly". i see absolutely no problems, if only one target is in scanner range, since only this can be meant. but what about a group of targets? will the "/tax"-command include them all? or maybe only the nearest? or maybe there will be an error-msg like "error, too many targets! give specific target name!"?

this was an interesting cognition today: the tax/fine stays valid for 2 hours. escaping into another system does not cancel the tax/fine. means when u get taxed/fined u have following options to get rid of it: 1. accepting the tax/fine (and u pay)2. get killed by the pirate/police (and u pay)3. switch/log off (and u pay)4. crash to desctop (and u pay)5. killing the taxing/fining pirate/police (u don't pay) (but tax/fine is not cancelled) (and proceeding with next point)6. escaping and staying o…

preventively taxing becomes habit. i don't like it. i know u have other priorities. but RP sometimes is not very funny. some things should change. 1. a pirate should not be able to tax a merc, if he has a bounty on his head. same with police. 2. and 3 cops fining 1 player at the same time should not be possible too. same with pirates.

@NucNuc: the only exception in RP for police/pirates should be concerning merces, and this only in case they have a bounty on their heads. atm it is like this: a pirate/police with a bounty, taxes/fines preventively every merc in his radar range. why not? he has nothing to loose. the bounty was paid by someone else. but if pirate/police wins the fight he gets the tax/fine. and usually the merc will loose, if not in first strike when he kills his target, then at least when pirate/police respawns…

yes, we already talked about it. just wanted to tell again about the urgency of this issue, since the missusing of this new feature becomes common habit. i don't want to tell about all incidents, but atm i'm fed up with some players. hunting for bounties is for me limited to freelancers, smugglers ( sorry IOC) and other merced now .
