once i had the same in Sigma 13. I don´t know how it is working also i was able to find the ship in space which was 57k away on the radar when i went there. Sometimes i see ships which are laging out in a far distance. No idea - something for OP imO but it happens very rare.

even if you don´t get a red lag yourself and your ping was perfect?
