  • Did update to system (included also to framework) and now every time when is launched CF I have active also launcher window amd when I close CF there stay running processes which I need to close manually .. see pics. There is not any problem reported by system.
  • ok, good' thx for info. But why it remain in memory after closing CF?
  • yesterday, but dunno if related to launcher last small update or bcs system update. Hanging 'Freelaancer.exe' happened also before, but only occasionally. Now it is every time (cflauncher.exe and freelancer.exe). I try test it today on my home PC and will give you know.
  • myrothas: Grampa: Can you please check detailed error log? Use windows event viewer -> start - run - eventvwr) ... check in Appliactions menu for log in crash time. Copy detailed view and send it to Utrack and OP in PM please.
  • Nouma: are you sure you not have running any torrent in background or something similar? (or modified some files used in SP?) ... "Sent to Pitsburg" is server function, not related to launcher.
  • Hello Sisko, with new launcher you don't need activate Open SP in mod flmm activation. You need only load all updates (which btw repair more probs found in the past), follow instruction in 'old' launcher, ->start MP (reach main menu) and after restart CF. From that point you can use open sp easily with tick open sp option in 'new' launcher settings.
  • Thx Althusius for info about that comment, I will look there and give little more relevant info about new CF launcher.
  • For play Open SP you should do normall install, mod activation (dont use there Open SP!), load updates with 'old' launcher, once use MP (reach main menu), restart CF, run CF again (this time with 'new' launcher, where click settings and tick checkbox 'OpenSP' and start SP. Note: after install FL don't forget remove write protection! And one more thing: in your Feelancer folder should be executable file OpenSPFix or similar ... you can try first use this one before do reinstall. (but that fix wa…
  • ok, so "gecko" issue ... please look at this post (it solved problem for guy who had issue with it): index.php?page=Thread&postID=331863#post331863 Write protection: simply check folder properties and un-check "write only" and use apply.
  • Can you try with NetFramework 3.5 how was mentioned above? Also is good to check (after you close CF/launcher) if is not in processes running Freelancer.exe ... if is, your launcher will crash every time (at least this is my case). I doubt that CF installation is your problem, this must be something about framework. You can also send crash details to ticket so Utrack can look on this one.
  • check running processes after close fl. If you will have there 2x freelancer.exe close this larger process (it terminate both). After you can start launcher without problems.
  • To stay on safe side I suggest reinstall CF and put whole CF folder into Avast exceptions list. I get used to such solution on my PCs and no issues.
  • You can do this ofc, on other side is a question what all was "silently" removed by AV. If you use Huor's guide for fast reinstall, you can save alot your time (used this way in last few months more as 100 times with 2.0 dev activations, works perfect)
