Most people will avoid fighting, because of heavy losses it may involve (if only your allies have to leave, you are f*****) and in massive battles everyone die a lot, even local speedie gonzales. I think we are just getting to the RL situation. In RL nobody is knighty, bravy, all alone vs 5 because of the risk of ultimate loss - life.
