There is a timer, if you edit your post within (i think0) 5 minutes this field is optional - you can edit without leaving a comment. After the time has expired you need to comment on what you did edit.I mean typos can be corrected that way without comment on removing typos. Other than this, edits after quite some time dont normally include the correction of typos. It either adds or removes content of your posts and this could easily destroy the flow of the discussion or comments already made. A…
