It's an anomaly. Similar to the one in Omega 3 between the gate to Cambridge and the GMG Facility. I've noticed several others that weren't there the last time I took a spin through the 'verse. I'd call it a feature. Perhaps a budding jump hole? Perhaps a death trap. Time will tell. I'll continue scouting, and let you know if anything changes.
