There is guide for 'faster' reinstalling in FAQ. CF is simply too huge to be possible uninstall properly. For speed indicator missing you maybe can look: Missing speed indicator and check there also for font fix if your looks bad. CF installation is in detail also described in FAQ with more useful hints how to stay out of problems.
