It depends on how you want to look at it. If one were to believe that society is made of up of a bunch of individuals which define society then it would be, psychology begat sociology. If, however, one were to believe that society creates each individual and that those individuals are then influenced in all they do by that society, then sociology would begat psychology. i prefer to go with philosophy since it was invented wayyyyyy before the other two.
