  • This is dragged over from the police clans' new RP thread. This is just a thought... maybe a bad one, but perhaps it'd be more witty for the clans to use NPC bases of the same RP allignment... maybe even have a faction or two as sponsors of sorts? That is, have clans have the same NPC allies and enemies as NPC factions equivelent to them (say for pirates militaries, companies, and police are hostile, terrorist factions are neutral, and pirates are allied for instance)?   • Hehehe, maybe this works better for some RP groups than others. I am biased towards the traders' approach. We need to have chars scattered all over or we can't make profits. When a freighter has an escort we need to be able to have them both dock at the same base, not wait half an hour for the fighter to arrive as the train idles and hopes that pirates aren't going to arrive before the convoy even gets underway.   • Having a pair of satellite bases makes things much more reasonable imo. I know that this isn't mandated, but I agree that the idea in general is very good, and it'd be pretty awesome if everyone agreed on something. By having a trio of stations from which serverclans could launch support units (I'm assuming that Sol / Altair is still a whole different story since we skipped over it at the meeting), they wouldn't be quite as compelled to stay holed up in their clansystem or stay near it for prot…
  • Clans haven't even addressed Sol, Altair, events, and X-3043 really. I'm assuming that despite all this talk we're all still going to spend a lot of time doing PvP and events in Arena, hanging out in X, undertaking voyages together in Altair, and the like. The point of the changes is supposed to improve the RP, not so much change the other things we do. While this is an overhaul, perhaps it sounds like more than it is.
  • I'm going to go over the same with Dopple. This won't work out 100% of the time (getting the chars back to base that is), but as long as a few of the clans adopt the concept and have fun while adding a bit of realism that's still a pretty good thing
