There is a very simple thing to solve this in Antivir: Go to the "configure antivir" or something like that. Put the expert mode ON. Go to the "real time scanning" or similiar and somewhere in there is a option where you can leave a folder out of this real time scan. Just put your Freelancer folder in there and so on the Antivir wont check that folder. No need to turn off firewall or anti virus program or lower the security levels.
