That's sounds great, but a person starts with 150,000 credits. You need millions to have a decent ship capable of defeating pirates, hiring a merc would cost more than you have, and if you die a few times you won't be able to afford cargo and you'll be left mining in asteroid fields and begging. People stay in Liberty because the NPCs are weakest there. If a person takes a dromadary to New Berlin, for instance, the NPCs will kill you before the pirates even have a chance to start stalking you
