Ya, as Screamer stated... Delete all Freelancer folders and files... make sure to save you ID Number... I had the similiar problem and diagnosed it... It just doesn't deactivate correctly. So.... UninstallRemove all files... (ie delete freelancer folder where ever you installed it.)Remove Crossfire (in the mod folder, you'll have to reinstall crossfire...)Reboot the computer...Then install freelancer, then crossfire, and try that... It should work.
