i dont know why the server is down so long, cannot you just make a scheduled task which executes a .bat file every 30 mins which in turn checks the status of the application is 0x1. if its not running, or crashed, then terminate the process and relaunch the server app. this little check could be made every half hour say, just so we get server back up and running.

OP Seems to be around the same time each night, also, this time it went extrememly laggy and worsened. looks to me the hallmarks of a DDOS attack !?! that can be the only thing thats causing this, because if the server is good, then it must be the connection. if the server is crashing (i.e. not responding) then theres several win admin tools you can use to detect this from the command line including tasklist, taskkill, /? - for help taskkill info...http://www.microsoft.com/resou…us/taskkill.msp…
