Alas! I have encountered a hardware failure in my comp this weekend, and my home comp is now disabled [3] Looks like I will have to replace the mobo , so it will not be a quick or easy fix. Worst part is that I had not yet backed up my RAID 0 HD's, so I may have to rebuild the works from scratch. My old comp is only a P11/450, so I don't think FL will even run on it, and in any case, the GFX card is too lame. Here I have a replacement mobo in hand, but extensive testing over the weekend reveals that the mobo is less likely than the video, so I gotta wait to exchange the two. At last, I have correctly diagnosed the problem, and repaired my computer! The video card failed, most likely in a memory module, and the replacement makes CF into a wonderland all over again! ATI simply rocks when it comes to smooth motion; I can't wait to try it out in problem systems like New London and Sol.Best clean your weaps, CSF pilots, I'm gonna be real hungry tonite... [8]
