I didn't found other ship which can be regularly used for high lvl missions in the Altair Sector ... missions against coalition rogues are imo ultimate test (how difficult is hit the ship with guns) ... if you can surivive these missions, you can be sure that you will be able defend against the 'dooms' in IC.
