I like to play diabolical games with BG pilots sometimes in the minefields. You'd be surprised how much fun you can have in Custodian. Just for that I'd say keep the mines.

There is one, but the Alaska - NY gate is inactive. As for minefields, I don't think in all reality that anti-ship mines in space make any sense. Space is vast and without many physical obsticals. The only reason mines are used in water and land is because the odds of something going over them on a 2D plane is a likelihood. When you factor in volume to the field you end up with something astronomically expensive and completely inneffective. Mines are not cloaked so what would stop somebody from…
