    From times to times, the FL community sees an big breakout inovative mod, such as the dinamic universe, and much of CF's own material and features. There is another new one, the WIP (i think so) of the Advanced NPC Wingmen mod. It's server only, so not avaible for use outside their server. But who knows they can be friendly enought to allow it's usage in 1.7..

    well, right now the only way this would be possible is if Op manages to write this himself, independent from this mod i mentioned. Unless that in the future the mod developers allow us to use that!! Wouldn't it be in a good size?

    titan: Two things you forgot, the NPC wingmen can defend you only from other NPC's, they won't engage players in free will. And even if they did, they wouldn't be a match for 90% of the players here. And other thing, they only follow you inside the system.
