the next level requirement is a specific amount of money so sometimes you need to do more than one mission to earn the necessary funds or you can trade to earn the cash once u have enough the next story mission is available but u don't have to take it straight away u can earn more money but u still cant buy weapons above your ranking which isn't affected by the money you have like on MP or open SP
