When I started on CF, I used 1st person view maybe 2 years till some good soul explained to me that 3rd person view is much better for fight (better angle of view and less disturbing by your own weapons firing). Use 1st person is no problem, if you get used to it ... but in FL/CF it is imo in disadvantage when compared with 3rd person for combat.
