Dropped in coz over the last couple of days when I started PVPing was told a couple times that I must be lagging due to jumping around so much. I have a pretty nice 2MB connection and check the ping every time I log in. So far in the last 2 weeks since I started playing at CF have not seen a ping above 41ms. The lowest I ever saw was 36ms. I am starting to get annoyed by being told I lag. I think I know what it looks like. I stopped playing for 3 years due to bad connection and lag. Things changed and now I have a good connection and good ping. Is it possible that I lag with this kinda ping or are they just not willing to accept how I fly?

hmmm...... I do have ZoneAlarm suite running. Will try turning that off, and will try pinging in combat situation. Don't think it will make much of a difference considering I am running on a high end machine but its worth a try.

What are tolerable limits for fluct. With firewall on my loss is allways 0 while fluct on rare occasions goes to 1. When that happens it will go back to 0 within a minute or so.

In that case I could not be lagging. Unimportant as it may be fluct never gets higher then 1. I have never so far on this connection experienced loss. The ping has never shown so far to be above 53. Need to add I been only playing on the server with the connection for a bit over a couple weeks so there is still time to experience it. Just downloaded an app, "TCPView". Will run that on my second screen to see in real time what other applications if any are accessing Internet during FL play. Even though unlikely maybe some update or something else kicks in and hogs the connection. Any body have any other suggestion if maybe I can run some kind of a logging application to record ping or any other relevant set of data that might help determine if there is a cause of this on my PC. It does UDP as well. I also figured out I can use the command prompt ping command to log the ping values and add a time stamp. This should do nicely for those times when dueling and not having a free hand to ping the server. I guess I am supposed to ping the same IP that shows when logging on to CF???

I get hit by missiles and I get killed by them. In fact happened several times not only with Spiky. Maxbur had me several times as well a day earlier. Without trying to insult or put you down I want to state a fact that the difference between them and you Bond flying as Melon is that they are actually quite good. Ping log from about 5-10 minutes ago. First half of the file is before I loged in and the last 10% of it during PvP. Firewall turned on and a scan in progress during the whole time. Later will do another similar without the firewall and without the scan.
