If I remember correctly from an other thread this error is memory read/write problem. Have you removed the write protection from the Freelancer intsllation foldersS and some of the .exe files? Often just disabling the AV/Firewall is not enough. Dunno what you gave permissions to work in your security-suite, but try to exclude all the Freelancer folders and .exe (esp. @Martind Forlon ... well Norton's not too bad as a security suite ... once you figured, how to convince it to do what you want, ... even if you have it as a 3rd party give-away and no customer support, like me Luckily there were some noob nerds who figured it out for the ones in need
