firewall? when it says its starting the update then it actually should start it, unless its kinda blocked...

no idea, i dont have such an old rig, but also not the newest. But its working pretty well here. I have no idea what causes the problems for you. But it seems for some reason it cannot download the files or hangs somewhere else.If it hangs and its not working you could create a dump with the taskmanager and send it to me.
