OP means by a "3-min report" is that no one really cares about the African countries. "Ok....we'll add them in the news just to let them know they are not all forgotten and neglected...but why give them a big news break? But London being bombed....oh now thats big." which gathers more viewers for these stations to get better ratings: G8 Summit going on again to help Africa, or London being bombed?
