Hmmm... did you really tòok at least Adv. Brigand MK2 in NT? It's cheap and has nice defense. Also, CODENAME MK2 guns have rather slow projectile, though it doesn't help being jump-killed by NPCs. And you just wait until you reach some parts of Coalition space *cough*Rogues*cough*.:)
