Thanks for that bit of info, Wanderer. Though I was in New York when I started not Sigma-17 but I'll give that a try and see if it fixes that part of it. Still haven't had the time to do a complete delete and new install, was hoping to avoid that. I don't get a lot of time to play so doing the reinstall process takes up all my time for the day. I'd rather be playing than watching progress bars.

Thanks for the explanation Martind. I figured that was the case since one would have to reinstall the mod to switch between the two before the new launcher. But I thought since the option had been added to change it so easily via the launcher that perhaps this was something that had been changed and it was possible to change it on the fly. I'll probably copy my saves to a safe place and mess around in OpenSP until 2.0 comes out then finish up the story. Thanks again.

SilverFoxI did notice the difficulty seemed to be on the (edit)rise before my saves started crashing. I may have screwed up my saves by running from an outcast encounter instead of fighting at the beginning of one mission because they were tearing me up repeatedly . Up until then I thought it was odd how many people I've seen complaining about the difficulty of the mod. I didn't have any trouble getting through the vanilla missions and even the first couple crossfire ones. Good to know a challe…
