I run CF with Win 8.1 too, without any problems.You did run everything as Administrator and then shortcut is in compatabilty mode (Administrator and Win XP SP3) ?Ok, i do have some launcher issues, but i just leave it to update and then relaunch without any problems.

I dont see the XULrunner from the Launcher - The Launcher is located in \exe folder. Do you have it ? Edit:Windows Error Reports are located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive folder - maybe some more info there.I have attached my latest as example.
