@ MartindI agree, that Chris Roberts going sooo public with his project boosted - in a way - a new interest on SciFi games, which may help sales for i.e. X-Rebirth (even though its critics so far are ... mixed) and defenitly helped Elite Dangerous to get off ground, another "big wig" of the genre. What he has proven is : there is a HUGE market potential for such games - if "advertised" well.And that's what he has done for the whole genre. Therefor I disagree on your second thought.
