Hello bellyfrog, if you have open bottom HUD (right panel) you should see all offensive/defensive equipment like guns, countermeasure, disruptors, torpedoes. All what you need to do is move mouse over this right hud and click on "equipment" (guns., missiles) which you want use now. When clicked with left mouse they "change color" and when you press right mouse button (as default) you will fire this "selected" equipment.
