Isn't the whole point of taxing to pin a person down until he/she pays? It's not tax, it's a ransom. Pay or die (repeatedly). The whole point is to make the person see it's more profitable for him/her to pay the tax than to die gruesome, fiery death. Which is why I still don't get why people tax fighters and expect a load of cash to come their way. Fuck you, tax something worth losing - ships on return from harvesting missions, trading ships, mining ships, prisoner transports, pod collectors...…
