Seems they try to lay out a picture, as if Discovery is THE one and only trueongoing, surviving Freelancer game community and Freelancer mod at all. (Or am I just a bit too suspicous ????) -
@ OP I would second, that this reapearing of Chris Roberts bears the danger, that further developing of Freelancer (mods) might dropdown to a trickle - for some time. Especially if they don't "deliver" something more substantial, what most likely will take A LOT OF TIME,more than " just a years work, as announced. Nonetheless, almost everybody on this planet interested in Freelancer WILL go there. And this Disco thread there gives me quite an itch, I don't know how to reach. -
@ MISTER(robert)BROT Mr. Roberts doesn't have ANY rights on Freelancer. He sold them to microsoft to fund his plans of making his (mediocre at best) films. Due to this "rights"-stuff there will never be a "Freelancer 2" if not microsoft decides to make one. (beside the MUCH BETTER STUFF made already by lots of modders, built on Freelancer, even though microsoft never opended the source code up to the public. OHHHH ! I totally agree with you on your point 1., this thingi would be nightmarish in an atmosphere. On your point 2. :I would like to note, that Chris Roberts seems to be a fan of anything moving :wacko: on his ships for StarCitizen/Squadron42.Perhaps the four semi-main thrusters in the 2 side nacelles are also movable, witch would give an "interesting" upwards thrust on the x-axis.... perhaps even the two main thrusters at the aft.On the 1st pic, 2ng row there are two structures at the lower side of…
