My 2 cents Tradelanes shouldn't be faster because it would make the use of other routs completely useless. Example: if smuggler is using uber fast tradelanes then no Cop/Pirate/Merc would be able to use the jumpholes to try and gain ground while pursuing a RP target. We definitely don't need things that interfere with RP balance.
