My pov: highly depends who is on both sides in ship cockpit. PPl playing for fun engage BS bcs simply want give a try and they know that they have a chance. And mainly, if lose say gf and the same from BS pilot side. Everyone can bring in second try his BS or any other BS killer. The same apply for battles (ofc there is more fun if not used torps and kill both sides ). Both sides can bring or hire their BS (and also piloting bs need skills).
