DK gunboats are slower as you (if you have best thruster). You can easily "run" using engine kill.

actually I meaned use engine kill while using basing acceleration (speed 200+). Gunboats are little slower so you can leave them behind. Search in config 'Engine kill' map it to key. After this in free flight try use it and watch your ship movement. You can 'run' much longer using this.
