The "Shade" is a tremendeous ship and absolutly suitable to finish the whole vanilla storyline - including the Hovis race. But don't forget, that it's quite big compared to the "stock" ships, even the other light fighters like the "Patriot" or the "Dagger".The Hovis race isn't really THAT difficult.
