Manually copying the files is the biggest problem you might do. It (FLMM) has to do that. If it fails then you have to get rid of the problems. Often the write protection causes that files cannot be overwritten. So make sure you have the full write access to this folder (admin and remove the read-only flag from all files and folders). Otherwise please try to add the error description here.
