Well... Did you use the God Mode on SP? When I moved to play from SP to MP I had no problems killing NPCs because I didn't use any cheats on SP. Are you flying the Starflier with the 2 default Justice MK I? Well, of course you will fail! When starting a game on MP, ask people for a good way to start (every mod has it's own), get credits, buy a good fighter and only then start fighting!
