Check it out folks! I spent alot of time and research into this thing, I even found some actual pre-production plot and concept art from Digital Anvil to put in this "book". There's probably some actual very enlightening info that most of you probably never knew about of the Freelancer and Crossfire universe(s) in there. ENJOY! -
Thanks everyone, I'm glad you all like it and are enjoying it, especially you OP. Yea, I can try to re-release it again in the future, perhaps expound on it if I come across more useful data. The higher rez ship models and wireframes would be a really nice touch and probably massively expand on it too, I'd probably have to add a whole new page for each race just to list all the ship pictures.(which honestly ain't such a bad idea, seeing as I'm actually missing some additional cruisers, mothersh… -
Giggity. Nice pic OP! But tend to your other obligations first,(starting with RL ones!) that can be a rainy day project for you if you like and I appreciate your help in advance! -
Get back up there... *kicks thread back up to the top* -
(Quote from Michael) You guys speak about them like you have tea and crumpets with them on Sundays. *facepalm* They're frakkin' killing machines folks! It really doesn't matter what they look like,(much less their ships) because usually you're either destroying them or they are busy destroying you! There isn't much time for you to "chat" pleasantries with them, much less comment on their "attire" from inside a space ship somewhere in the center of the galaxy! *sigh* C'mon guys, I didn't pick th… -
(Quote from [UR]GrandAndreasK) Funny... I could say the same about the Nomads... But then again, after reading the background on them originally from Digital Anvil pre-production information (the Nomad and DK first contact story in the Xeno-Guide), they actually remind me of the Replicators from Stargate SG-1 series! -
Yea Michael, I've already stated the Nomad ships are actual Nomads themselves by reconfiguring their cellular structure in their background and history section of their profile. And yeaaaaaa... Right... I'm sure you do alot of talking with the Sentinels... *facepalm* If by communication that includes them using Cer'lor Emitters at YOU, then yea, I bet they do alot of talking to you buddy. About your name Michael, you need to understand that here in the states, we common use Micheal here so I ha… -
(Quote from Daywalker) Yep, it's an awesome little background story that not many FL players know about and it's relevant info in the Xeno Guide, so that's why I put it in there. As soon as I read it, I knew it had to go in there, it was very "enlightening" to those who love FL and it's "lore", especially since it's concerning the original game's only alien races, the Nomads and Dom'Kavash. -
Gotta agree with Huor here, OP is basically the "LOREMASTER" of this mod, i.e. he dictates what exists and what does not in Crossfire, I'm just the lowly "LOREKEEPER". Heheheheh! We can theorize and fantasize all day long about Nomads, Dom'Kavash, Ancients and/or the fact possibly some of your grandmothers could pass as a alien species, ( ) but the fact remains, OP makes the stories, we elaborate and expound on them. That's why I came out with this Xeno Guide. -
Well Faaby, it is mentioned in the Xeno Guide that the Nomads in their infant and younger forms they resemble a "worm", which is true to what you see in the SP campaign/story line. The picture I provided in the Xeno Guide is a Nomad in adult/humanoid form where as they can actually assume any form they choose due to their highly versatile and flexible DNA structure. And thanks Crysis, glad you enjoyed it! -
Alright folks! I've decided to update this thing, fixing lots of errors, "informational inconsistencies", making some needed changes and so forth... So far I've added a universe map (2 actually) to show the locations of galaxies in respect to the Milky Way which I felt was a nice touch and something that needed to be add.(me being the SA's cartographer and all ) So now is a good time to give some suggestions, comments to improve the content or ideas to add to the guide. Sadly I'm afraid this wi…
