Vlad, Zocka, and one other are going to be poking around, again, come later this weekend. A few old friends from here kept emailing me and telling me how great 1.8 was when it was released (I went inactive during 1.7), and finally I have to check it out again. Emails to old friends is probably the best way to get more players.
