well what kind of operating system are you using? if your using win xp, go to your documents and settings and delete freelancer files/folders from there to. and then try again.if that doesnt work, then i could recommend you delete the registry files as well.. but thats if you know how to do that or not but then again, could be wrong

ok seems the problem is worse than you are telling us...what is your anti-virus? ive had problems with certain anti-viruses and i switched to using Comodo Internet Security... it seems to be one of the better anti-virus/firewalls ive used on my pc for gaming.. i havent had any problems with it... so might i suggest you switch your anti-virus...? you can download Comodo Internet Security for free from their website! and delete ALL freelancer files and re-install to a different directory
