enable the 128 MB graphic card option during the install. Maybe that help. That the error appears could also be reason if your graphic card is not detected by Freelancer. There is a file for this - but i dont know how to add new graphic cards...I am just mentionen possible reasons. Sometimes a new reinstall solves this problem as well.
