I figured this might have been the problem... Anti-virus programs in general seem to plague the mod if people do not actively take note and set their AV programs off when installing and set them to exclude the entire Freelancer folder under Microsoft Games from scans. Ensign Peter Kirkland, aka SA_FUD, has been away from the mod for nearly a month now due to what I suspect is a similar issue...
